Clairvoyance

Clairvoyance

Clairovyance is a term invented by occultists, derived from the French words clair “clear," and voyance “seeing.” Clairvoyance refers to the capacity of inner or spiritual sight, which is natural in all conscious beings, but in us has degenerated into fantasy (mechanical imagination). All human beings are clairvoyant, but in us it is negative, because in our mind's eye we only see the projections of our desires, fears, anger, lust, greed, envy, etc. Our unconscious, subconscious, and infraconscious psychological elements project images in our imagination: that is negative clairvoyance. Positive clairvoyance is achieved when the filters to imagination are removed, and our inner sight sees without the interference of pride, fear, etc. Through the practices given by the Gnostic teachings, anyone can restore their natural ability to see internally, known in mysticism as "clairvoyance."

Whosoever wants to be clairvoyant must put an end to reasoning and become accustomed to seeing all things with the imagination. - Samael Aun Weor, The Manual of Practical Magic

This is a transcription of the audio lecture 05: The Church of Philadelphia, which you can download for free. To continue our series of lectures from the book of revelation, we follow the course of the second chapter, which is tracking the progress of the Fires of the Holy Spirit, or the Kundalini, up the spinal column through the churches of Assiah.  And in today’s lecture, we reach the discussion of the Church of Philadelphia, which in Sanskrit is called the chakra Ajna. To understand what is written in the book of Revelation requires practical work on oneself.  Of the seven churches, it may be said that this Church of Philadelphia is the one in which we can start to work practically in the most immediate sense, because it’s concerned with an aspect of our own psychology and physiology which any one of us can confirm, can...

The senses of external perception can only reach a fraction of what is perceivable. - Samael Aun Weor Many people seek to learn to meditate to have some kind of ecstatic experiences or to become better than other people - or to seek out some kind of sensation that we do not get from life normally. Many people approach meditation with these goals in mind and naturally they become frustrated. When one is seeking to have a need filled through sensation, one will always be disappointed. The reason for this is that sensation is subject to all the laws of nature. One of those primary laws is called "life and death." Every sensation is a vibration of energy that is born, it arises, and then it dies. You hear the sound of someone's voice. There is birth and death in that vibration. The sound hits you and there is a birth, there is the sensation of that sound, and then the sound stops, it dies, it goes away. That is all merely sensation. But upon receipt of...

There exists clairvoyance and pseudo-clairvoyance. The Gnostic student must make a clear differentiation between these two forms of extrasensory perception. Clairvoyance is based on objectivity. However, pseudo-clairvoyance is based on subjectivity. Understand that by objectivity we mean spiritual reality, the spiritual world. Understand that by subjectivity we mean the physical world, the world of illusion, that which has no reality. An intermediate region also exists; this is the Astral World, which can be objective or subjective according to the degree of spiritual development of each person. Pseudo-clairvoyance is catalogued with imaginary perception, fantasy, artificially evoked hallucinations, absurd dreams, Astral visions that do not coincide with concrete facts, the reading of one’s own projected unconscious thoughts in the Astral Light, the unconscious creation of Astral visions which are interpreted later as authentic realities etc., etc. In like m...

It is necessary that you have three things in life: food, clothing, and shelter.  We should not be hungry: we need to eat.  We should not be poorly dressed: it is necessary to dress well.  It is not fair to live our entire life paying apartment rent: we need to have our own good home. Reflect on all this. It is urgent for you to comprehend the need to live better without falling into the sin of covetousness. In our previous lesson we said that it is necessary to distinguish between necessity and covetousness.  It is necessary to know where necessity ends and where covetousness begins. You need to learn how to make a good impression on other people.  This is a very delicate art.  Many ladies dress very well, sometimes with excessive luxury, and wear very valuable rings on their hands and yet, in spite of everything, they do not make a good impression on others.  Many gentlemen wear very expensive suits and use the latest model cars and yet they fail many times because of not knowing how to...

Given that the teraphim (mediums, channelers) have spoken lustfully and the soothsayers have perceived falsehood and futile dreams, they are speaking with vanity; consequently as a flock they journey, they are being debased, since there is no one shepherding them. – Zachariah 10:2 Soothsayers are intellectual Kabbalists, whereas Prophets are intuitive Kabbalists. In this lecture we are going to explain the root of both. The soothsayers are black magicians, sorcerers, diviners (mediums, channelers). Yet, the Prophets are the Avatars, the Apostles. Thus, we have to know the difference, and understand how to polarize ourselves with the positive aspect, or what we call clairvoyance. When I am saying this I have to state this: God as a breath of life, as a wind, blows into my head, so...

This is a transcription of the audio lecture The Consciousness, which you can download for free. Gnostic psychology is a precise form of science combined with philosophy and mysticism. This is what makes it complete and effective. The term Gnosis is related to direct knowledge of the consciousness, rather than theory or belief. The word psychology relates to the psyche, which is the soul in Greek. Ology or Logos is Greek for “the Word,” or in other words God, the creative impulse. In the beginning was the Logos, and the Logos was with Theos, and the Logos was Theos. - John 1 In studying Gnostic psychology, we are trying to understand the direct experience (Gnosis) of our own soul (Psyche) in relation to that...

The basis of this teaching is direct experience.  When we discuss Gnosis, we have to put our mind in the correct position in order to properly understand the nature of the lectures that we hear.  In other words, what we discuss, what we examine, and what we explore in these lectures about Gnosticism is direct experience, practical experience — not belief, and not simply theory.  When we hear the lecture and listen to the topics that are presented, it is important for us to apply it, to experiment.  We should not merely take this as something theoretical or merely intellectual, something just for the mind to toy with.  To really comprehend and understand what Gnosis is, what Dharma is, it is something we have to work with practically within ourselves, continually. In regard to the nature of the lecture today, it is particularly important to remind ourselves repeatedly that we have to be practical.  If this information remains merely as a theory or as something that we contemplate from time to time,...
